PPI Hoses
Petroplex has adapted a special armor external high pressure hose is lieu of steel chicksan bails for pin point injection, wash tools, and sonic hammer treatments. The problem with conventional steel bails are safety and time. The steel bails are constructed of heavy pipe, numerous hammer - wing fittings, and swivel joints to hang up and catch on the pulling unit and itself. When this occurs, there is a potential to pull the bails apart with pressurized fluids spraying and the bails falling to the unit floor. The use of a special high pressure hose greatly reduces this hazard. The hoses prove to be less hazardous in the event of failure with the armor protective sleeve keeping the hose intact and in place. The special hoses have a test pressure of 20.000 psi and working pressure of 5000. The inner surface of the hose is resistant to acid. The outside of the hose features a stainless steel sleeve which will protect the outer surface and provide structural integrity to the assembly. The ends of the hoses are permanently attached to each end. The hoses are tested every 6 months and each hose is stenciled to include the following information; Manufacturer, Identification number, Working pressure, Test pressure, Burst pressure, Assembly date, and Test date. The use of PPI hoses has reduced operating time. There is less time spent rigging down and less time spent making connections during the treatment (approximately 30 connections). |
